Lviv Weightlifters Win at the Ukrainian Veterans Championship
From March 28-30, the 23rd Ukrainian Veterans Weightlifting Championship took place in Lutsk. The Lviv team was represented by eight participants.
Winners in Weight Categories
- 🥇Kalapach Vasyl, zero age group – age 30–34 years
- 🥇Frenetsky Rostyslav, zero group – age 30–34 years
- 🥇Yaremchuk Nazar, first group – age 35–39 years
- 🥇Stetsyk Andriy, first group – age 35–39 years
- 🥇Zhelezny Volodymyr, second group – age 40–44 years
- 🥇Bratko Serhiy, third group – age 45–49 years
- 🥇Burkov Mykhailo, sixth group – age 60–64 years
- 🔴Doskach Volodymyr secured silver in the third age group
“Overall, more than 70 participants from various regions of Ukraine took part in the competition. Lviv weightlifters came second in the team ranking. The first place was taken by the team from Dnipropetrovsk region, and the third by representatives from Rivne region,” summarizes Roman Khimiak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
