In November, a number of nationwide veterans’ sporting events are planned in Lviv Region. The region will host selection for the Invictus Games 2026, the all-Ukrainian archery tournament “Unbreakable Shot“, as well as the final national multi-sport veterans’ competition “HART 2026“.
Lviv Region is not for the first time becoming a meeting place for war veterans from different parts of Ukraine. Here they can compete in various disciplines, test their own capabilities and talk with people who share similar combat and life experience.
The organisers emphasise that training in adaptive sports and creating a healing environment are key elements of the sports opportunities project “League of the Unconquered“, which is being developed by the relevant department.
As part of this initiative, a “League of the Unconquered” camp was recently held at the Western Ukrainian Rehabilitation and Sports Centre of the NSIU. It brought together 20 veterans and service personnel from eight regions of Ukraine. Over 10 days, they challenged themselves in various adaptive sports. This camp in Lviv Region has now been organised for the fifth time.
