“A challenging, emotionally intense tournament is the result of all the year-long work of the athletes and coaches of the Lviv Regional Jiu-Jitsu Federation, fierce competition and an unrealistic atmosphere of the World Championship. The Ukrainian national team eventually won 52 medals and took the second place in the team competition. We are proud that athletes from the Lviv region also contributed to this result.

The young athletes dedicated their victories to all the Federation’s athletes who died in the war defending Ukraine’s independence,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
