On March 10-17, Vinnytsia hosted the Ukrainian Junior Boxing Championship. About 450 participants from different regions of Ukraine took part in the competition.
The sporting event brought together both boys and girls, among whom boxing has recently become an increasingly popular sport.
The Drohobych territorial community was represented by Victoria Stefanivska from Stebnychi, who fought in three matches as part of the Lviv region team. In the first one, Victoria defeated a rival from Odesa region, in the second – a boxer from Sumy region, and in the semifinals she lost to a rival from Dnipro region and won a bronze medal, taking 3rd place. With this achievement, Victoria Stefanivska fulfilled the standard and confirmed the title of Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine in boxing. Given that boxing is an Olympic sport and the competition in it is fierce, the athlete from Drohobych demonstrated an excellent result.
