“School Leagues Side by Side”: where is the strongest cheerleading team in Lviv region?
The final of the fourth stage of a large-scale sports project among students called “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” in cheerleading took place in Lviv. The competition was organised at the athletics arena of the Defence Ministry’s training base on 1 June.
The regional cheerleading competition was attended by 8 teams from all districts of Lviv region and Lviv, which won the school, territorial and district stages of the school league in turn.
These are students of such educational institutions:
Solonky village council “Lyceum named after the Hero of Ukraine Mykola Pankiv”, Solonky TG;
The supporting institution of Rudkivska secondary school No. 1 named after the Hero of Ukraine Volodymyr Zherebnyi, Rudkivska TG;
🔸Yavoriv Lyceum named after Osyp Makovei, Yavoriv TG;
🔸Yasenivske secondary school of 1-3 grades with a preschool division;
🔸School of secondary education in the village of Lysovychi, Morshyn TG;
🔸Sokal secondary school №2, Sokal TG;
🔸 Lyceum №1 named after Ivan Franko of the Drohobych City Council of Drohobych;
🔸Lyceum named after Ivan Puluj.
The winners were:
🥇1st place – Ivan Pului Lyceum;
🥈2nd place – Solonka Village Council “Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Mykola Pankiv”
🥉3rd place – Ivan Franko Lyceum No. 1 of Drohobych City Council of Drohobych.
The winners of the regional competitions will represent Lviv region at the all-Ukrainian stage of the “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” project in Kyiv.
“Congratulations to the winners of the competition. As a reminder, the project involves students competing in five sports. We have already identified the strongest schoolchildren in the region in basketball, orienteering, futsal and cheerleading. On 2 June, there will be girls’ volleyball finals, and on 4 June, boys’ volleyball finals,” adds Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
