The first Warriors’ Swimming Cup will take place in the Lviv region.
The competition will be held on October 2nd at the ‘Dynamo’ pool on Vitovskogo Street. The Warriors’ Cup is an annual regional competition for veterans and servicemen who have sustained injuries or illnesses due to Russia’s military aggression. Initially, these were archery competitions, but they were expanded due to high demand. Now, the Cup is held in several stages, including various sports.
The event will take place as part of the ‘Invincible League’ — a project by the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, aimed at the physical and psychological rehabilitation of military personnel through sports. ‘Since the Warriors’ Swimming Cup is being held for the first time, we are doing it in a test format with a limited number of participants’, the organizers note.
