The event will be held in support of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
For the second year in a row, a simultaneous chess session is being organized in Lviv. On April 4, legendary Ukrainian grandmasters will demonstrate their skills on the chess boards: Marta Litynska, Oleh Romanyshyn, Oleksandr Belyavsky and Adrian Mikhalchyshyn.
“More than 70 participants – both masters and beginners – will take part in the competition. Among them are servicemen and women defenders, veterans, doctors, border guards, children, cadets of the National Academy of the Land Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the National Guard, the National Police, rescuers, and our wounded soldiers who are undergoing rehabilitation at Superhumans. In this way, we want to unite representatives of different industries and support our defense forces,” said Yuriy Horun, Director of Communications and Internal Policy at the Lviv Regional Military Administration. – “This event is a unique combination of sportsmanship and patriotism. We invite all chess fans, chess school students, and Lviv residents to become a part of this noble game, and even play with the legends!”
The event will be held in support of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“Your presence and participation will be not only an exciting sporting pastime, but also a noble contribution to the victory of the Ukrainian army. After all, the event is held to raise funds for the Lviv Knight volunteer organization, which supplies innovative technical equipment to the frontline for our defenders. Not a single penny of the budget will be spent on organizing the chess session, as the initiative is entirely based on volunteer efforts. Join the sporting event and contribute to the victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine!” said Oleh Radyk, head of the NGO FORPOST L’VIV and co-organizer.
The simultaneous chess session will take place on Thursday, April 4 at 12:00. Venue: Lviv Palace of Arts (17 Copernicus St.).
Due to the limited number of seats, those interested are asked to fill out the registration form форму.
Participation in the event will be confirmed by e-mail or phone call.
The event is organized by the Department of Communications and Internal Policy of the Lviv Regional Administration, the NGO “FORPOST L’VIV” and the Lviv Regional Chess Federation.
