The Warrior’s Cup in shooting was held in the Lviv region, with nearly four dozen soldiers and veterans participating.
As reported by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozytskyi, participants competed in shooting with pneumatic sports pistols at a distance of 10 meters. The **Warrior’s Cup** was initiated by Dmytro Sydoruk, a veteran of the Russo-Ukrainian war, who died in April 2022.
The event was held as part of the initiative by the Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration called ‘Invincible League.’ “Special congratulations to the winner of the Cup – Andriy Tlumak, a veteran from the Mostyska community. Andriy was mobilized in 2022. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo and later in the 114th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense. In February this year, during a combat mission in Donetsk, Andriy sustained a severe injury and lost a leg. He returned to sports as a veteran and continues to show results that inspire everyone around. I also congratulate the prize-winners and participants of the Cup. Thank you for your strength and openness, for your dedication to the state, and for your titanic work on yourself”, added the head of the region.
Lviv region is systematically developing inclusive sports, with over 350 Guardians participating in ‘Invincible League’ projects this year alone. They held 132 sporting events, and 92.5 million UAH were allocated from the regional budget to develop inclusive sports infrastructure.
