“I took part in a basketball competition, and our school won first place. The opponents were all strong, but we prepared and trained. We have ten people playing, we divide into teams and play 5v5 under the guidance of a teacher. We are looking forward to the regional stage and want to win. I really like Side by Side, every school wants to win. We have a tense atmosphere on the site, but we have friendly relations with each other. At the third stage, we made friends with students from other schools,” says Nazar Krupa, a 10th-grader at Mostyske Secondary School No. 2. Nazar Krupa.

The most athletic students are those from Mostyska School No. 2 and Sokal School No. 2, schools in the Pomorianska Territorial Community, Khodorivska School No. 2, Chervonohrad Gymnasium No. 12, and Ivan Franko Lyceum No. 1 in Drohobych.

“The children really liked the colours of the certificates, diplomas and banners. It was bright and interesting. The musical accompaniment was driving, you could feel the energy,” says Taras Bilyi, chief specialist of the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Novoyavoriv City Council.

“The fourth, regional stage of the project starts on 14 May. The winners of the regional stage in five sports and seven disciplines will take part in this part of the competition.
