More than 200 athletes took part.
The Ukrainian Indoor Archery Cup was held in Lviv Oblast the other day, in which 218 athletes from 17 teams took part. The competitions took place on the basis of the Educational and Sports Base of Summer Sports.
“These are quite important competitions for athletes. The results of the competition will be taken into account for the formation of the national archery team of Ukraine for the next year. As the host of the National Cup, Lviv Oblast had the largest team of the region’s national team and was represented by two teams in each of the categories for team disciplines,” says Roman Khimyak, head of the youth and sports department of Lviv OVA.
Artem Ovchinnikov from the Sumy Region won the men’s Olympic bow division. The second place was chosen by Mykhailo Usach from the Rivne region, and the third place by Ivan Kozhokar from the Chernivtsi region.
Veronika Marchenko from the Lviv region won the highest award among women in the Olympic bow division. The second place was won by Iryna Yarmak from the Kharkiv region, and the third place went to Anastasia Pavlova from the Kherson region.
Vitalii Vdovenko from the Kyiv region celebrated the victory in the men’s competition in the block bow division. Serhiy Kushniruk from the Lviv region took the second place, and Svyatoslav Karpenko, also a representative of the Lviv region, took the third place.
Among the women in the block bow division, Yulia Stepura from the Kyiv region won the highest award. Olha Khomutovska from Zhytomyr region took the second place. And the third is the representative of Lviv Oblast Iryna Skalska.
