The day before, a sports competition called “Happy Starts” was held at Sokal school No. 4. The participants were children aged 10-14 who fled the war and found shelter in the Sokal community of Chervonograd district. The initiator and organizer of the event was the “Caritas-Sokal” charitable foundation.
The competition took place in a friendly sports atmosphere, the children were divided into teams, some of which competed in football, and others took part in relay races. All participants, fans and organizers of “Happy Starts” received a good mood, a charge of energy and positive emotions.
Each participant received gifts: sweets, sports equipment, stationery sets and clothes. And after the competition, the children were treated to pizza from a local producer.
“War is a common problem for all of us. We must unite and fight together for our peaceful future,” says Maryana Yaremchuk, Deputy Director of the Caritas-Sokal Charitable Foundation.
She added that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Caritas-Sokal Foundation has been actively helping displaced people. In addition to the need for food, hygiene products, and clothing, Caritas also involves IDPs in various activities in the community.
