Ukrainian powerlifter Nazar Zhynchyn has taken bronze at the European Bench Press Championship, held from 1 to 9 August 2026 in the city of Druskininkai (Lithuania).
The athlete competed as part of Ukraine’s national veterans powerlifting team in the M1 category, in the up to 66 kg weight class. This was Nazar’s second international competition representing Ukraine, and this time he secured third place.
The report notes that the bronze medal was the result of lengthy preparation, dedicated training and the athlete’s strong motivation.
Thanks were also extended to coach Ivan Posenko for his professional work in preparing Nazar Zhynchyn for the continental championship, as well as for his support and belief in the athlete’s abilities.
