The region has summarized the results of the ‘Lviv Region Sports Games’, determining the most athletic community.
The competitions are organized by the Lviv Regional Center for Physical Health of the Population ‘Sport for All’ with the support of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration. This year, participants competed in 17 sports, including badminton, swimming, table tennis, and others. ‘Lviv Region Sports Games are a unique project that covers different segments of the population; we have been holding it for 34 consecutive years,’ notes the director of the department Roman Khimyak.
For the first time this year, a ‘absolute’ category was introduced, combining the winners among adults, veterans, and people with disabilities. **The title of ‘absolute champion’ was won by the team of Novoyavorivka community.** In second place was the Novorozdil community, while the Sambir community took the ‘bronze’.
The Strilkiv community, although one of the smallest in number, took fourth place. ‘Its zeal for competition and desire to be the best can be envied by even the largest communities,’ adds Roman Khimyak.
