First-year student of the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Vocational College of Sport” Oleksandr Boltyshev became a bronze medallist at the 31st WAKO Kickboxing World Cup, which took place from 27 to 30 August in Budapest (Hungary).
The young athlete competed in the Light Contact discipline in the under-69 kg weight category. Fourteen kickboxers from 11 countries took part in this category, and based on the results of the bouts Boltyshev finished in third place.
Following the tournament, the Ukrainian national team for the first time in history took first place in the overall team standings of the WAKO World Cup.
“We sincerely congratulate Oleksandr on his international award and wish him new victories, tough bouts and the conquering of new sporting heights!” the college noted.
