A professional boxing evening took place in Lviv, during which Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhniak, known as the “Poltava Tank”, captured the first title of his professional career.
The Olympic champion had only his third bout in the professional ring and secured the WBA Gold International belt, becoming the holder of a prestigious title at the very start of his journey in the professional ranks.
Organisers and fans note that staging such a bout in Lviv strengthens the city's status as an important venue for Ukrainian boxing and creates a favourable environment for new sporting achievements.
