The European Wrestling Championship is underway in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Oleksandra Khomenets, representing the Drohobych branch of SDYUSHOR Spartak and DMO FST Spartak, won a bronze medal in the women’s 55 kg weight category.
- Athlete’s coaches: Andriy Byrka and Orest Skobelsky.
- Defeated Romanian Beatrice Ferent in the quarterfinals with a score of 8:4.
- Sustained a leg injury, which prevented her from reaching the final.
- Defeated Turkish athlete Tuba Domir in the match for third place with a score of 6:2.
Oleksandra once again demonstrated strong character and high results. In October 2024, she also won bronze at the U23 World Championship in the same weight category. Congratulations to Oleksandra on her new success and wishing her further victories!
