Olena Gorodna from Yavoriv district finished 15th in the 60m mass start at the Biathlon World Junior Championships in Estonia
Olena Horodna was the only Ukrainian competing in the junior women’s mass start 60 at the Biathlon World Junior Championships in the Estonian city of Otepaa. Having made 3 mistakes at 4 firing lines, the 19-year-old from Lviv finished 15th among 60 participants.
This is the highest individual place for the youngest of the Gorodnykh sisters at this championship. In the individual race and sprint, she finished 19th and 18th, showing the best result among Ukrainian juniors. The biathlete from Yavoriv district also took 8th place in the mixed relay as part of the Ukrainian team. The World Championships in Estonia will end with the classic relay races on 1-2 March.
