Pavlo Bal Wins Two Bronzes at the Paralympic Skiing World Cup

Representative of Lviv region, Pavlo Bal, won two bronze medals at the Paralympic Skiing World Cup.

From January 28 to February 1, the Paralympic Skiing World Cup for athletes with physical and visual impairments is taking place at the Polish Winter Sports Center in Jakuszyce. Paralympians from 21 countries are participating in the competition.

On the first day of the competition, Pavlo Bal won a bronze medal in the 1 km sprint, and the next day he repeated this result in the 6 km individual start race.

“Ahead is the main challenge of the four-year period. The XXV Winter Paralympic Games will be the most important test for Pavlo Bal,” noted Roman Khimiak, head of the regional department of sports, youth, and tourism.

He also noted that the Lviv region will have a strong representation in Italy: part of Ukraine’s national team in biathlon and skiing will include Pavlo Bal and Vasyl Kravchuk.
