After a long hiatus, equestrian competitions have returned to the Lviv region. The Open Regional Equestrian Jumping Competitions «Equicor Jumping Tour» took place from July 4-6, gathering the strongest riders from 16 regions of Ukraine as well as Kyiv.
The competitions were held at the newly constructed modern facility — the «Equicor» equestrian sports complex in Zymna Voda. In addition to dynamic courses and spectacular jumps, guests could enjoy food courts, photo zones, and children’s entertainment.
«This space has been created just a few kilometers from the regional center, in the Zymna Voda Community, and today it stands as one of the most modern equestrian sports complexes in Eastern Europe — featuring open and covered arenas, over a hundred stalls, a hotel, children’s areas, a food court, and parking. It is even more impressive that this extensive project arose on the site of a former peat bog, amidst fields, and was constructed during the full-scale war. This is not about comfortable conditions — it’s about faith, determination, and patronage», noted Roman Khimiak, director of the Lviv Regional State Administration’s Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism.
Show jumping involves overcoming various types of obstacles in a timed manner. The goal is to complete the course as quickly as possible without making any mistakes. Participants competed in the categories of children, amateurs, and open class. Teams tackled obstacles ranging in height from 70 cm to 145 cm across 20 different courses.
The competition featured the «Grand Prix Equicor Jumping Tour» in the open class, where top participants took on a course with obstacles 140-145 cm high. Winners competed for a prize fund of 100,000 UAH.
