These days, the championship of Ukraine in swimming among juniors, youth and adults took place in Brovary.
Four sportsmen represented Lviv Oblast at the competition with the support of the Youth and Sports Department of Lviv Oblast.
Maria Horodnia managed to win three gold medals at once. She became the champion in freestyle swimming at distances of 1500, 400 and 800 meters. The athlete is trained by Andriy Kopetchak and Andriy Shimanskyi at the training base of the “Plyazh” water park and at the “Zdorovya” Complex Children’s and Youth Sports School.
Sofia Lesniak won two gold medals among juniors. She became the first in freestyle swimming at the distances of 1500 and 800 meters, as well as the third in swimming at the distance of 400 meters. Among youth and adults, the girl became the vice-champion at distances of 1500 and 800 meters in freestyle. The athlete is trained by Serhii Stetskovich at the base of the “Plyazh” water park.
