“Pokrova AMP-2” maintains top spot in the First Amputee Football League

The 5th round of the Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship among First League teams took place in Lviv, with the local side “Pokrova AMP-2” acting as host of the matchday. For the team, this stage was doubly symbolic: in addition to crucial points in the table, the side also marked three years since its very first training session.

In their home round, the Lviv team played three matches. “Pokrova AMP-2” confidently defeated Rivne side “Veres Mriya” 3-0, claimed a resounding 8-0 victory over “Titany” and drew 1-1 with “Dnipro Chest”.

After five rounds of the championship, “Pokrova AMP-2” continues to lead the First League table, with 42 points to their name. Among the team’s standouts was forward Taras Tovarnytskyi, who scored four goals in this round and ranked among the most prolific players of the matchday.

“Pokrova AMP-2″ once again proves that adaptive sport is about strength, character and team support. It is especially pleasing to see how the Lviv team is developing, delivering strong results and inspiring others. We wish our athletes success in the decisive round and in the battle for the championship trophy!” — Roman Khim’yak

Beyond the sporting results, the round was also marked by a touching moment. After one of the matches, “Pokrova AMP-2” player Mar’ian Trach proposed to his beloved Olia right on the football pitch, and received a heartfelt “yes” in response.

The decisive 6th round of the Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship is scheduled for 16–17 October in Ivano-Frankivsk. It is there that the winners of the First League championship trophy will be decided, with Lviv’s “Pokrova AMP-2” fighting to retain top spot and secure the title.
