The final in 25-meter pistol shooting among mixed teams took place
Representatives of Ukraine and the Czech Republic met in the fight for “gold”. The match ended with a score of 16:6 in favor of Ukraine.
“In this discipline, our country was represented by athletes from the Lviv region Yuliya and Pavlo Korostylovi. Athletes train at the regional School of Higher Sports Mastery and are military personnel of the Training and Sports Base of Summer Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Sister and brother, Yuliya and Pavlo have already won many awards for our country,” said the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi.
According to the results of 2022, Pavel was recognized as the best athlete of the Lviv region among men. He is an honored master of sports in bullet shooting. Last year, Lviv received the first license for the Olympic Games in Paris. Yulia is a world champion, a multiple European champion in shot put, a participant of the Olympic Games.
The Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional State will pay athletes 80,000 hryvnias for the awards at the competitions. Their coaches – Serhii and Valentina Korostylovi – will also receive awards
Previously, Valeria Tereta, a rower from Lviv Oblast, won gold for Ukraine in tandem with Ludmyla Luzan.
