The European Team Chess Championship in Batumi concluded with brilliant results for our country.
The Ukrainian men’s team emerged as European champions, while the women’s team earned the title of continental vice-champions. A special pride is that this victory also has a significant contribution from the Lviv region. Our grandmasters, world-renowned chess players – Oleksandr Beliavsky, Adrian Mihalchyshyn, and Mykhailo Oleksiienko – were part of the coaching staff, and Lviv’s Andriy Volokitin helped capture the championship as a member of the men’s team.
