The Ukrainian Cup in sport and combat sambo among men and women took place in Ivano-Frankivsk, bringing together more than 250 athletes from various regions of the country. Among the medallists was service member of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment, justice lieutenant Maksym Razhonov.
In the up to 98 kg weight category, the border guard took third place and claimed the bronze medal. During his bouts, he demonstrated a high level of physical and technical preparation, composure and confident performance on the mat.
His successful performance at the Ukrainian Cup enabled Maksym Razhonov to confirm his place in the Ukrainian national sambo wrestling team. The athlete will continue to represent the country at upcoming competitions.
