Luge athletes from Lviv Region won medals at the Nations Cup held in St. Moritz-Celerina (Switzerland). According to sport.lviv.oda, Danyil Marcinovsky and Bohdan Babura became silver medalists in the men’s doubles with a time of 54.801 seconds. Another luge athlete from Lviv Region, Anton Dukach, narrowly missed a medal, finishing fourth in the men’s singles.
“This is the first award for our luge athletes since the Winter Olympics. Let me remind you that Marcinovsky and Babura finished 18th at the Olympics, and Anton Dukach was 16th in the individual competitions,” noted Roman Khimiak, director of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
