The XXVII European Championship of Para-Armwrestling for athletes with musculoskeletal disorders and visual impairments took place. The competition was held from May 30 to June 9 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
This year, Ukraine was represented on the international stage by 200 athletes. Such a scale of participation indicates the rapid development of armwrestling in Ukraine, the increasing number of athletes and coaches, and the support for para-armwrestling as an important component of national sports.
The Drohobych community was represented in the Ukrainian national team by the Stebnyk para-athlete Ivan Tovarnytskyi, who won 2nd place in the left-hand competition on the fourth day and 3rd place in the right-hand competition on the fifth day of the championship.
The athlete’s coach is Bohdan Ivanytskyi.
