Athletes from the Lviv Region showcased their skill at the third stage of the Ukrainian Cup in clay pigeon shooting, which took place in Brovary. The competition, dedicated to the memory of Honoured Master of Sports Dmytro Monakov, was held from 14th to 20th April.
In these nationwide competitions, 15 athletes from the Lviv Region participated and won a total of 11 medals across different disciplines. In the ‘Skeet’ category, the winners included: Andrii Kobzariuk, who took gold among men, Oleksandra Bartyshcheva among women, and Yehor Sklyarets among juniors. Valeriia Bartyshcheva and Mykhailo Katashov received bronze medals.
In the ‘Trap’ discipline, Viktoriia Mykhailiukova became the champion among women, while Nadiia Bulhakova and Diana Kravets secured silver medals.
The team’s success was marked by the Lviv Region team finishing fourth in the ‘Skeet’ event. The head of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Roman Khimiak, stressed the significance of this event not only for the medals but also for honouring the memory of Dmytro Monakov.
