Athletes from the Lviv region delivered a strong performance at the 2nd round (final) of the Ukrainian Clay Target Shooting Championship for adults and juniors, which took place from 19 to 23 August in the village of Neshcheriv in Kyiv region. Based on the results of the competition, representatives of the region claimed a total of 10 medals — 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze.
The individual events saw the following results:
- Yehor Sklyarets — 1st place in skeet among juniors;
- Nadiia Bulhakova — 1st place in trap among women;
- Andrii Kobzaruk — 2nd place in skeet among men;
- Mykhailo Katashov — 3rd place in skeet among juniors;
- Valeriia Bartysheva — 3rd place in skeet among women;
- Anastasiia Zherebtsova — 3rd place in skeet among junior women;
- Viktoriia Mykhailiukova — 3rd place in trap among women.
In the team standings, athletes from the Lviv region added two more awards:
- silver in skeet was won by the team of Andrii Kobzaruk, Heorhii Ipatov and Yehor Sklyarets;
- silver in trap was secured by Oleksandr Bilko, Oleh Fedoruk and Oleksii Volynskyi.
The preparation of Lviv region athletes for the championship was overseen by coaches and specialists of the Lviv Regional Olympic Training Centre and the Lviv Regional Council Municipal Institution “Olympic Training Centre”.
