Lviv Athletes Excelled at the All-Ukrainian Cross-Country Skiing Competitions
At the educational and sports base for winter sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ‘Tysovets’, the all-Ukrainian cross-country skiing competitions for boys and girls were held from February 9 to 13.
Success of Lviv Athletes
The competitions were held in three age groups: boys and girls born in 2007-2008, 2011-2012, 2009-2010. A total of 95 skiers from 9 regions of Ukraine participated.
‘Lviv Region was represented at the all-Ukrainian competitions by students of the Youth Sports School “Olympic” from the Zymnovodivska village council: Andriy Dzera, Sofiya Kachmar, Maryana Bodnar, Oleh Lozynskyi, and coach and instructor Volodymyr Chenikalo,’ said the head of the youth and sports department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Awards of Lviv Skiers
- Andriy Dzera:
- 1st place – freestyle race of 7.5 km among boys born in 2007-2008,
- 2nd place – classical style race of 7.5 km,
- 2nd place – classical style race, 1 km sprint.
- Sofiya Kachmar:
- 2nd place, classical style race of 1 km among girls born in 2009-2010,
- 3rd place – classical style race of 3 km.
