Yesterday, Lviv hosted the final of the school sports league in floorball among girls and boys. According to the results of all competitions, the best in this sport were students of Lyceum No. 66, known in school leagues as “Jaguars”.
This school year, the school league floorball competition was held for the first time. The competition was attended by 29 teams in a mixed format – girls and boys in grades 5-7. The maximum number of team members was 12.
In the district stage of the school league, more than 50 games were held, where the winners and district champions were determined.
The city stage was attended by 6 teams (district winners), among which the top three were determined:
I place – Lyceum No. 66;
Second place – Secondary School No. 67;
III place – School of the Free and Caring.
“After intense and exciting competitions, the teams of Lviv community schools won their honorable places. Sincere congratulations to the winners and runners-up for their talent and perseverance. Your achievements are an inspiration for everyone,” said Anton Nikulin, Head of the Department of Sports and Youth Policy of Lviv, during the award ceremony.

The Lviv School Sports Leagues are sports competitions developed in accordance with the world and European experience of such events. The main goal of the project is to create an atmosphere of a sports holiday among schoolchildren of the Lviv city territorial community, as well as to increase the number of schoolchildren who play sports on a regular basis and lead a healthy lifestyle.
As of today, the final league competitions in basketball, floorball, volleyball and track and field have already taken place. Cheerleading and soccer finals are still to come.
