On 21st March, a youth tournament in freestyle wrestling, the “Open Cup of Drohobych”, took place in Drohobych. The competition saw the participation of 124 participants from 14 teams representing sports schools and clubs from the Lviv region.
Truskavets was represented by the pupils of the freestyle wrestling department of the DYUSK “Sportovets”. Illia Havryshuk secured first place in the under-9 age group. Artur Syrvatka and Pavlo Bodnar claimed second places among children aged 10-13, while Karina Luk’yanenko received a bronze medal among girls aged 9. The team’s coach is Semen Hardiy.
The organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the defenders of Ukraine for enabling children to train and participate in sporting events.
