
The open chess tournament “Summer Cup 2025” was held in the Busk MND with the support of the Busk City Council.
Fourteen participants from Busk, Zavods’ke, and Staryi Mylyatyn competed in the tournament. Online participants included Anton Datsko from Germany, Oleksandr Sarymsakov, and Ihor Martynovych from Ireland. The youngest participant was 8 years old, and the oldest chess player was 71. Judge Artem Solodovnikov ensured the fairness of the competition.
“The importance of developing chess within the community and promoting intellectual sports among children and youth,” emphasized the Deputy Mayor of Busk, Oleh Koval.
The winners were: 1st place – Oleh Kovalchuk (Zavods’ke), 2nd place – Vasyl Lesenko (Busk), and 3rd place – Serhii Chornii and Taras Shevtsiv (Busk).
Organizers are confident that the tournament will become an annual tradition that unites generations and maintains interest in chess.
