A large-scale sports project “School Leagues” was implemented in the Drohobytsk community, which is designed to increase the interest of schoolchildren in various types of sports and popularize physical activity among the younger generation.
All general education institutions of the Drohobych territorial community are involved in school sports leagues. The age of the school-participants is 6-7 grades and older.
“School leagues” will be held in four sports: basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, badminton. Oksana Sotrikhina, head of the physical culture and sports department of the DMR, informs about this.
During the implementation of the program, each institution of general secondary education of the Drohobych community will form collective school teams from four sports, which will later compete among themselves for the Cup of the Drohobych community.
Leagues will be held in three stages. The final stage will be the final games for the Cup of the Drohobych Community League, which will go to the strongest team every year.
The winners of the competition will receive a new sports uniform for the men’s and women’s team, as well as sports equipment from a specific sport.
