
On Saturday, another open Shotokan Karate-do SKIF championship was held in Lviv Region, dedicated to the memory of the fallen soldier Mykola Tsymbalist. The tournament served as a stage in preparations for the 15th World Championship, which will take place from 9 to 15 November in Turkey.
It is reported that 29 athletes from Lviv Region will go to compete at the world championships. More than 250 karateka took part in the current regional competition, representing ten clubs.
The organisers thanked the coaches and club members for their successful performances, and also highlighted the commendable level of competition and cooperation between participants. They expressed separate gratitude to the management of the Shakhtar sports club for providing the venue for the championship and to the partner “Vash Lavash” for providing refreshments for the participants.
The competitors also emphasised their gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to train safely and take part in sporting events during the war.
