“School leagues – where the strongest futsal team in Lviv region is
The final games of the IV stage of the futsal competition took place in Lviv region as part of the “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” project.
This is the largest competition among secondary school students. Teams determine the strongest in five stages. The school, territorial and district stages have already taken place. Now the regional stage is underway, and the all-Ukrainian stage is ahead.
The regional futsal competition was attended by 8 teams from all districts of Lviv region and Lviv, who won the district stage of the school league. These are students from the following schools:
– Starosambir secondary school No. 1 named after Hero of Ukraine Bohdan Solchanyk; Novoyavoriv Lyceum, Novoyavoriv TG; Busk Gymnasium named after E. Petrushevych, Busk TG; School No. 4, Stryi TG; Sokal secondary school No. No. 4, Sokal TG;
– Lyceum of Boryslav, Boryslav TG;
– Solonka Village Council “Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Mykola Pankiv”;
– Secondary school No. 29, Lviv.
The winners and runners-up were:
1st place – Secondary School No. 29, Lviv; 2nd place – Solonkiv Village Council “Lyceum named after Hero of Ukraine Mykola Pankiv”; 3rd place – Novoyavoriv Lyceum, Novoyavorivska TG.
So, students of Lviv secondary school No. 29 will go to Kyiv to represent Lviv region at the all-Ukrainian stage of the “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” futsal competition.
“Congratulations to the winners and runners-up. The day before, the project had already identified the strongest schoolchildren in the region in boys’ and girls’ basketball and orienteering. And in early June, school cheerleading and volleyball leagues for boys and girls will take place,” said Roman Khimyak, Head of the Youth and Sports Department of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
It should be added that during the final futsal competition of the regional stage, representatives of the Main Patrol Police Department conducted interactive lessons on traffic rules for children.
The young athletes were also supported by the ambassador of the “Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues” project, Valeriia Tereta, an international master of sports in canoeing, who won the World Cup at the second stage in the Polish city of Poznan three days ago.
