A nationwide memorial run “I Honour Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine” took place in Lviv, with more than 1,500 participants joining the event in the city. Across the country, over 20,000 people took part in the initiative.
Service personnel, veterans, volunteers, young people, families of fallen defenders and other concerned citizens lined up at the start. Each participant ran with a number representing a specific Hero who gave their life for Ukraine.
The organisers stress that the run is intended to keep alive the memory of the fallen warriors and to unite society around honouring their sacrifice. The event in Lviv was held with the involvement of regional bodies, in particular the Lviv Regional Centre for Physical Health of the Population “Sport for All”.
