Lviv is developing a new strategy for sports development aimed at ensuring the city’s long-term goals. At the heart of this initiative is the mobilisation of the community through sport. During the event on 17 March at the Municipal Shooting Range ‘Strilnytsia’, participants were presented with programmes already implemented, as well as priorities for the further development of this sector. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
According to the First Deputy Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Moskalenko, defining key directions and the correct allocation of existing limited resources is extremely relevant today. Among the development directions identified are mass sports, high-performance sports, children’s and youth sports, veteran sports, and the development of sports infrastructure.
Participants of the meeting, facilitated by Andriy Pundor, worked on developing practical solutions and proposals to be included in the strategy. Particular attention among discussions was given to the need to develop mass sports and modern sports infrastructure, as well as support for veteran sports, which plays an important role in the rehabilitation of servicemen.
