The recent draughts competition in Turka gathered participants with varying experience and abilities. During the tournament, which became part of the XXXV regional comprehensive competition ‘Sporting Games of Lviv Region’, participants demonstrated logical thinking and endurance.
The event was marked by a friendly yet tense atmosphere: each game required significant concentration, strategic thinking, and confidence in one’s decisions. The tournament included categories for “adults“, “veterans“, and “people with disabilities“.
Winners of the tournament were determined as follows: in the ‘adults’ category, the leaders were Turka, Yavoriv, and Strilky communities; in the ‘veterans’ category – Brody, Nove Rozdil, and Turka communities; and among ‘people with disabilities’ – Yavoriv, Turka, and Drohobych communities.
These competitions showed that even intellectual sports are capable of uniting, inspiring, and fostering a strong team spirit.
