The Ukrainian national parafencing team, including Natalia Morkvych from Lviv, became the vice-champion of the Paralympic Games in Paris in women’s team epee.
In the final of the tournament, Ukrainians – Yevhenia Breus, Olena Fedota-Isaeva, Natalia Morkvych, and Nadiya Dyolog – met representatives of China in a 37-45 victory.
It is worth noting that Ukraine finished the Paralympics with three medals in parafencing (silver and 2 bronze).
Natalia Morkvych is a Merited Master of Sports of Ukraine in parafencing (musculoskeletal disorders). She competes in foil and sabre fencing. Her coaches are Svitlana Kolesnikova (sabre, epee) and Pylyp Kolesnikov (foil).
Nataliia is a multiple champion and medallist of the Ukrainian championships and the World Cup in parafencing. Champion and medalist of European and world championships. Nataliia is a silver medallist in the individual foil competition at the 2020 (2021) Paralympic Games in Tokyo. She received the “30 Years of Ukraine’s Independence” award in 2021.
At the XVII Paralympic Games, she competes in foil and sabre and team epee. Natalia competes in class A.
