On Saturday, March 29, the open championship of SDYUSHOR ‘Spartakivets’ in freestyle wrestling took place in the sports hall of Gymnasium №5 named after Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Kulchytsky. The event began with the national anthem of Ukraine and a moment of silence in memory of the fallen defenders of the country.
Among the honored guests were the principal of the gymnasium Lesya Podobinska, master of sports Lilia Horishnya, and coach Andriy Byrka. Teams from Lviv and the region participated: DYUSSH ‘Olimp,’ DYUSSH Mykolaiv, KDYUSSH ‘Athlete,’ and others.
- 1st place: Yelyzaveta Mykolyuk, Adelia Veretka, Daryna Strelnyk.
- 2nd place: Oleksandra Byrka, Vasylyna Pankiv, Yulia Kryvohlava.
- 3rd place: Kateryna Atlanova, Andriana Kuzan.
The tournament was supported by the executive committee of the Drohobych city council. Participants received awards for their achievements.
