These days, the championship of Ukraine among boys and girls under 17 years of age and the Open All-Ukrainian weightlifting tournament in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine among athletes 13-14 years old took place in Transcarpathia. Representatives of 15 regions of Ukraine competed for the awards.
Teams from Lviv Oblast performed well at the championship. Boys and girls teams won silver in the overall standings. Among the girls, the team from Volyn won the victory, and the weightlifters from the Luhansk region won the bronze. Among the boys’ teams, weightlifters from the Donetsk region won the victory on the last day, with a slight margin from the team from the Lviv region, and Khmelnytskyi took third place.
Among the girls, Maria Kuts performed effectively, winning silver awards in the sprint, push and total dueling. With a result of 112 kg in dueling in the weight category up to 45 kg, she first fulfilled the standard of master of sports of Ukraine.
Sofia Mulyk in the weight category up to 76 kg brought three bronze awards to the coffers of the Lviv Oblast. Victoria Tkachenko won the bronze in the push in the weight category up to 64 kg, and in the jerk and push she finished in 4th place.
Diana Gomel finished her performance in the 5th place in the weight category up to 45 kg. All athletes from Lviv.
Among the boys, the champion of Ukraine was Andrii Lyshega from Zhydachev, who also won gold in the 70 kg jerk, 90 kg push and 160 kg dueling. He also fulfilled the standards of the master of sports of Ukraine for the first time in the weight category up to 49 kg. Three silver awards in the same weight category were won by Yuriy Bolozovsky from Lviv.
Also, Mykola Kushniruk from Gorodok won three silver medals in the weight category up to 55 kg.
In the weight category up to 61 kg, Mykola Keretyvchyn from Boryslav finished one step closer to the podium. Andriy Malorosiyantsev from Zhydachev also entered the top ten.
The bronze award in the 94 kg jerk was won by Serhiy Lyshega in the weight category up to 67 kg. In the sum of the duels, the Zhydachevo athlete finished one step short of the podium.
Yaroslav Andrusyshyn, a weightlifter from Horodok, won the bronze medal in the weight category up to 89 kg. Vitaly Pentsarsky from Boryslav finished fourth in the weight category up to 96 kg. Dmytro Tokarchyk, a weightlifter from Zhydachiv, finished in 7th place in the weight category up to 73 kg.
Vitaliy Soroka from Lviv won the Open tournament in the weight category up to 55 kg. Here Markiyan Mocherad won bronze. Maria Mykytyshyn took 5th individual place in the weight category up to 49 kg. Yaroslav Dobryansky finished in 7th place in the weight category up to 55 kg.
