It’s time for decisive matches in the Lviv Oblast volleyball championship. The four strongest teams of the region will compete for championship medals. It is nice that in the quartet of the best teams of the region, two teams represent Sokal – VC “Danish Textile” and “Sokil”. Due to the fact that the Sokal teams took second place in their groups, they will play the group winners away from home in the semifinals. On May 14, the teams that win the semi-final matches will compete for the title of champion of the Lviv Oblast-2023, the losing teams will also play in the match for bronze medals on that day.
So, on May 7, on Sunday, “Yednist” (Brody) – “Datsky Tekstil” (Sokal) and “Technology” (Lviv) – “Sokil” (Sokal) will meet in the semi-finals.
VC “Danish Textiles” will play the match in Brody at 1:00 p.m. Taras Pankiv and Oleg Ratushnyak are part of the Brod team – players who play in the championship of Ukraine as part of “Danish Textile”. This factor adds intrigue to the semifinal match in Brody. The favorite of this match is the team from Brody, which is holding the semi-final on its ground, and this is quite a significant factor. But the volleyball players of “Datsky Tekstil” will do everything possible to reach the finals and for the first time in history to win medals of the highest division of the championship of Lviv Oblast.
By the way, on the same day, May 7, by coincidence, the football players of “Datsky Tekstil” will also play a calendar match of the championship of Lviv Oblast against the local “Bogun” in Brody. Also, next Sunday, the fans are waiting for an exciting volleyball-football match between Sokal and Brodiv.
