
At the Ukrainian Track Cycling Championship on the open track, which took place in Kyiv from 30 May to 4 June among athletes under 23 and juniors, athletes of the municipal institution of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Vocational College of Sport” won a total of 39 medals.
The college athletes claimed 13 gold, 16 silver and 10 bronze medals. They took gold in individual pursuit, keirin, scratch, omnium, team pursuit, team sprint and madison.
The performance in the 1000-metre time trial among juniors was particularly successful, with all podium places taken by college athletes: first place went to Vladyslav Holiak, second to Mykola Dilnyi, and third to Oleh Smolynets.
The leading medallists of the championship were Vladyslav Holiak and Oleh Smolynets, who repeatedly triumphed in both individual and team events.
“39 medals at the Ukrainian Championship is evidence of daily hard work, high professionalism and dedication to a beloved profession,” noted the Lviv Vocational College of Sport.
