From May 29 to June 4, the “Children’s League” Ukrainian Volleyball Championship among teams of boys born in 2010 took place in Khyriv. For the first time in its history, the volleyball department of Mostyska State University took part in such prestigious competitions.
At the group stage, the team from Mostysk played five games and after defeating the leader of the group, Vinnychyna, with a score of 2:0, took second place in the group. According to the coach of the team Vitaliy Kovalskyi, the 6 best teams entered the final stage and each had to play 3 games. In the first game, Mostysk volleyball players lost to the Zhytomyr Oblast team, which ultimately won the championship silver. And in the second game, with a small margin, the boys also lost to the winner of the competition, the team of Poltava region. The third game in the final stage was decisive.
The team from Mostysk met with the team of Pereginsk DYSSH. Pupils of Mostyska Junior High School won with a score of 2:0 and won bronze at the Ukrainian Volleyball Championship! Congratulations to the athletes and thank you for the victory.
