The Department of Tourism and Resorts of Lviv Oblast together with the Lviv Railway regional branch inform cyclists. which trains are equipped with mounts for the transport of two-wheelers, how to transport bicycles in carriages not specially equipped for rovers and how much it costs to transport two-wheelers.
“Exploring Lviv Region by bicycle is a good example of active leisure. Of course, you can rent “iron horses” in the city, village where you stopped for rest, and not everywhere have similar points. Therefore, as an option, you can get to different corners of the region with a two-wheeler by rail,” says Taras Lozynskyi, head of the tourism and resorts department of the Lviv OVA.
He also reminded about the developed bicycle paths in the Lviv region. Last year, “VeloBeskydy” was opened on the territory of Truskavetsk, Boryslavsk and Skhidnytsk communities, in Slavsk – you can ride the “Traces of Chugaystra” bicycle quest. Both projects were created at the initiative of the Tourism and Resorts Department of Lviv Oblast.
It should be noted that the wagons of the following electric trains are equipped with special mounts for transporting bicycles:
Regional train No. 804/803 Rivne-Lviv (daily, except Saturday)
Regional train #804/803 Lviv-Rivne (on Fridays and Sundays)

On the territory of Lviv Oblast, the above-mentioned trains stop at Pidzamche, Krasne and Brody stations.

On the suburban connection of the Lviv Railway, trains operating in the following directions are operated. Suburban trains No. 6021 Lviv-Syanky and No. 6022 Syanky-Lviv, which, in particular, stop in Rudky, Sambor, Turka and other stops. Suburban trains #6015 Lviv-Truskavets, #6008 Truskavets-Lviv. However, taking into account the technological needs and technical capabilities of the railway, some flights in the indicated directions are carried out by trains without carriages with special mounts for transporting bicycles.
The cost of transporting a bicycle disassembled and packed as hand luggage is half the cost of a full ticket. The price of transporting a bicycle in assembled form (on the move) as hand luggage, the size of which exceeds the established standard of hand luggage, is equal to the price of a full ticket. Free transportation is allowed at the expense of the hand luggage allowance (a bicycle in disassembled and packed form), provided that its size corresponds to the hand luggage allowance. A bicycle in assembled form (on the go) is transported as excess hand luggage in the vestibule of the car (no more than one per vestibule), or in places equipped to accommodate bicycles.
