
From 19th to 26th April, the Ukrainian Draughts-64 Championship took place in the city of Kolomyia, bringing together 140 participants from 16 regions. The competition was held in three categories: classical, rapid, and blitz games. The Yavoriv community was successfully represented by 11 pupils from the local Youth Sports School, who returned home with numerous awards.
In the classical game, which ran from 19th to 24th April, Ivan Shcheholsky won bronze among boys under 16, Bohdan Slyzh claimed bronze among boys under 10, and Anna Nakintsiv took bronze among girls under 10.
On 25th April, in the rapid game, Solomiya Kunanets secured gold among girls under 19, while Mykhailo Shcheholsky earned bronze among boys under 16.
In the blitz game on 26th April, Solomiya Kunanets once again took first place among girls under 19, Bohdan Slyzh won gold among boys under 10, Anna Nakintsiv claimed bronze among girls under 10, and Maksym Kvasniak earned bronze among boys under 16.
Also noteworthy were Mariya Ozymok, Marta Lutsyk, Andriy Blashko, Sofiya Blashko, and Mykola Shcheholsky, who excelled in their categories and earned valuable points for the Lviv region team. Lviv region secured 2nd place in both the rapid and blitz games across Ukraine.
