The European Canoe Sprint U23 and Junior Championships took place in Romania from July 2 to 7.
The flag bearers of the Ukrainian team were kayaker Mychel Fesun from Kherson and canoer Volodymyr Savchyn from Lviv. The Ukrainian team won 14 medals, including 6 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze, securing second place in the overall team ranking.
The team included athletes from Lviv region such as Markiyan Mahyr, Oleksandr Brezitskyi, Pavlo Kupchynskyi, Sofiya Potsiurko, Vitaliy Bratash, Volodymyr Savchyn, and Yelyzaveta Voznyuk. Two of them won medals: Yelyzaveta Voznyuk claimed three gold medals, while Volodymyr Savchyn earned a silver and a bronze.
