
Young shooters from Lviv region Yuliia Isachenko and Rostyslav Mozil delivered strong performances at the European 10m and 25m Shooting Championship for athletes under 18, which took place in Tallinn and brought together 107 participants from 15 countries.
Yuliia Isachenko became European champion in the team event in the 25m small-bore pistol. The Ukrainian team also included Anna Avramova from Chernihiv region and Karina Zaichenko from Vinnytsia region.
In the mixed pairs event in the 25m small-bore pistol, Lviv region representatives Yuliia Isachenko and Rostyslav Mozil won the silver medal. In this discipline, seven other teams competed alongside the Ukrainians; in the final, our pair lost out to athletes from Hungary, while third place went to representatives of Estonia.
“Alongside the Ukrainians, another seven teams competed in this discipline. In the final, our pistol shooters were edged out by their rivals from Hungary. The hosts of the competition, Estonia, took third place,” said Roman Khimiak, Director of the Department of Sport, Youth and Tourism of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
Yuliia Isachenko and Rostyslav Mozil represent the Dynamo sports society and are products of the Dmytro Sydoruk Comprehensive Children and Youth Sports School. Yuliia Isachenko is coached by Volodymyr Ivanchuk, and Rostyslav Mozil by Oleh Hazhula.
