Truskavets native Zhanna Us delivered a strong performance at two nationwide lawn tennis tournaments, claiming a total of three honours: one victory in the consolation draw and two runner-up finishes.
The young athlete trains in Drohobych at Tennis Club Dro. The club’s head coach is Nazarii Us, and its founder and director is Andrii Luchkiv.
From 27 July to 2 August, Uzhhorod hosted a national tournament of the highest Category “A” “Krayna CUP U14”. In the main draw of this event, Zhanna Us ended her run in the second round, losing to a player from Ivano-Frankivsk. At the same time, in the consolation tournament she won three matches in a row and took first place.
In the doubles at this same tournament, Zhanna Us teamed up with Viktoriia Pintova from Kyiv. In hard-fought matches, the duo reached the final and finished second.
The next event for Zhanna was the lawn tennis tournament “Na Pokrovu”, held on 2–3 October in Stryi. Here the player from Truskavets once again showcased confident play: she won three matches and only in the final lost to an opponent from Lviv, finishing second in the overall standings.
Young tennis player Zhanna Us is being congratulated on her achievements and wished continued success at national level.
