On March 8, 2025, the Open Swimming Championship took place in Sheptytskyi, gathering teams from Lutsk, Kovel, Varash, Vynnyky, Truskavets, Sokal, and the host city, Sheptytskyi.
Athletes from Sokal’s Youth Sports School (DЮСШ) delivered impressive performances and secured the following prizes:
✅ Veronika Smulka – 3rd place in the 50m backstroke and 2nd place in the 100m backstroke.
✅ Maksym Shumyk – 2nd place in the 50m butterfly and 3rd place in the 100m freestyle.
The young swimmers were trained by coach O.S. Povzun.
